At Community Action on Dementia Brent (CAD‑Brent), our core aim is simple but powerful: to support people living with dementia and their carers to remain connected, valued and as well as possible for as long as possible. This week, that aim came beautifully to life.
Our Songs of Joy Choir performed at the Royal Chelsea Hospital, filling the space with music, warmth and shared joy. The performance brought genuine happiness to residents and a deep sense of pride to our singers themselves — a wonderful reminder of the confidence, connection and wellbeing that creative activity can unlock.
We are incredibly proud of everyone involved. The choir has come a long way since it first began on 24 September 2024, and moments like this show just how far its impact now reaches.
The Songs of Joy Choir meets every Thursday from 1.45pm to 3.15pm at the Church of the Ascension, The Avenue, Wembley. It is more than a choir — it is a supportive, friendly community where people can express themselves, build confidence and share the simple joy of singing together.
Well done to all our singers — you represent the very best of what CAD‑Brent stands for.
