We had a great turn out for our training session on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) which was delivered by Marie from M2M Community Solicitors, providing attendees with a clear understanding of the importance of planning ahead for the future.
The session explored the different types of LPAs, including Property and Financial Affairs LPAs and Health and Welfare LPAs, explaining how these legal documents enable trusted individuals to make decisions on behalf of a person who may lose mental capacity in the future.
Participants learned about the process of creating an LPA, the responsibilities of attorneys, and the safeguards in place to protect vulnerable individuals. The training also highlighted common misconceptions surrounding LPAs and emphasised the benefits of putting arrangements in place before they are needed.
The event encouraged open discussion and provided practical guidance for individuals and families seeking to better understand this important area of law. Attendees welcomed the opportunity to ask questions and gain expert advice from Marie from M2M Community Solicitors.
We are very grateful to M2M for supporting CAD Brent.
