Dementia Hub Services​

The Dementia Hub Project is a new service in Brent offering tailored support to people living with dementia and their families. The team can provide advice about benefits, the social care system and how to access wellbeing support such as Dementia Cafés. We hope that once you or your loved one have a diagnosis; we can offer you services that will ensure you continue to live well with dementia.

Dementia Cafes Brent

Dementia Cafés offer a safe and welcoming environment for people living with dementia and their carer/families.  Several cafés operate in Brent and offer wellbeing services such as arts and crafts, chair yoga, quizzes and more.

Brent Dementia Peer Support Service

Brent Dementia Peer Support Service

The Brent Dementia Peer Support Service is run by Ashford Place supporting people living with dementia to support others living with the diagnosis. The service is suitable for people who can engage in a peer support role.

The Dementia Peer Support Service is the result of feedback and consultation with Brent residents living with dementia and their carers. The service aims to help and provide appropriate support available in the community following a diagnosis of dementia
 
Dementia Voices and the Peer Support Service provide a number of services developed by, with and for, people living with dementia/memory loss and their carers
 
This includes but are not limited to:
 
  • Organised activities, visits and classes to improve personal independence
  • Support to continue with hobbies and/or develop new ones with peers
  • Support individuals to help reduce stress and understand complex feelings after a dementia diagnosis
  • One-to-one support between people with experience of living with or caring for someone with dementia/memory loss
  • Access to independent information, advice and guidance as well as guided support to access services in Brent
