CAD Brent enjoyed a wonderful day out at London Zoo today. Luckily the weather held out, and we all enjoyed the slightly cooler weather, and so did the animals! The group of 26 included people living with dementia and their carers .
The group spent time discovering the many animals at the zoo, sharing stories and their memories of childhood visits to the Zoo. It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to spend time together away from the usual routine.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a memorable day!
Days like this are a great reminder that living with dementia shouldn’t mean missing out on new experiences. Social activities, getting outdoors and enjoying shared experiences can provide opportunities for connection, conversation and, most importantly, lots of fun.
