Spotlight on our De Café Network – Dementia Café PCMC Brent
Originating from parishioners at Pentecostal City Mission Church’s request for dementia support
Dementia Cafe PCMC Brent was formed. Being able to secure funding from The National Lottery Community Fund the voluntary run cafe runs a well attended hub for dementia sufferers and their family or carers at St Marks in Kensal Rise on Mondays.
They provide a varied programme of activities including chair physio with a qualified trainer, a variety of games. Freshly cooked meals and snacks are provided for all attendees. Talks and trips to the cinema are also arranged through the cafe for any attendees who wish to participate.
The cafe hopes to add new activities such as art therapy in the near future
