It was fun and laughter all the way at Barham Memory Café last week when they hosted a Jubilee Picnic for their café members. The Mayor Cllr Abdi Aden was in attendance and formally opened the event by cutting the cake and welcoming the guests from the network of dementia/memory cafes in Brent. Some 90+ people attended!
Once the clouds had passed, we had party games in the courtyard, yoga and an operatic song or two from the wonderful Tracey King – who got the crowd involved and finished her performance with God save the Queen. Very fitting for a Jubilee Picnic.
The guests enjoyed a fabulous picnic lunch washed down with plenty of tea and a slice or two of cake. A great time was enjoyed by all.
