On Sunday, the Dementia Hubs Team joined with around 35 clients and their family carers for a truly memorable Christmas party hosted by Park Royal London Fire Brigade.
✨ The afternoon was filled with festive cheer and activities designed to bring joy and connection to the dementia community in Brent. Guests enjoyed:
A lively disco and karaoke session
A heartwarming performance by the Songs of Joy choir
Prize bingo that had everyone smiling and celebrating together
Beyond the fun, the event offered something even more valuable: the chance to meet new people, share laughter, and strengthen social bonds. For people living with dementia, these moments of interaction are vital. Social engagement not only reduces isolation and loneliness but also supports wellbeing and can help slow the progression of dementia symptoms, keeping individuals active and well for longer.
One client summed up the spirit of the day perfectly:
“We had so much fun – the best day we have had in years!”
💖 We extend our heartfelt thanks to Park Royal LFB for their kindness, generosity, and support in making this celebration possible.
From all of us at Dementia Hubs, We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year!
