CAD Brent held its monthly dementia carers meeting this week, welcoming Dr Navi Nagra, Lead Clinical Psychologist from the Brent Memory Service, to share insights on how cognitive stimulation can be practiced at home. The session was attended by 27 carers from across Brent, and the discussion proved to be both deeply educational and genuinely empowering.
At CAD Brent, we are driven by a heartfelt commitment to improving the lives of families affected by dementia. We understand that dementia impacts not just individuals, but entire families—and our work is rooted in supporting those families through some of their most challenging times.
Our partnership with the Brent Memory Service enables carers to engage in meaningful conversations about their loved ones’ needs, while gaining practical skills in a welcoming community setting. We are immensely grateful to Dr Navi and her team for their continued support.
In a borough where statutory agencies offer little to no community-based support for dementia, CAD Brent stands as a lifeline. Through our website carers can access vital resources, connect with others, and find the guidance they need. It’s more than a website—it’s a gateway to hope, empowerment, and solidarity for Brent’s dementia community.
