People living with dementia call for greater awareness of dementia across all communities in Brent, an accessible directory of health and welfare services, and an answer to what is a key question for them i.e. what is available to us post diagnosis. Many carers and people living with dementia report that even if a diagnosis is provided there is very little offered to them to cope with the shock of the diagnosis and to help them manage their lives as the condition progresses. The Dementia Voices Brent calls on all stakeholders to address these questions and work together to create a truly dementia friendly borough here in Brent.
