The Songs of Joy Dementia Choir performed at the Harrow Dementia Hub launch this week, which was held in the historic Grims Dyke Hotel. The Choir were inspired by the beautiful surroundings and delivered an uplifting performance that brought warmth, emotion and a sense of community to the event. The weather was kind and the choir were able to perform in the beautiful gardens, awash with rhododendron in full bloom.
The choir’s carefully chosen songs filled the venue with positivity and nostalgia, encouraging audience members to sing along and share memories through music. Their performance highlighted the important role music can play in supporting people affected by dementia, helping to spark connection, comfort and joy.
