An exciting new addition to CAD- Brent’s thriving network of dementia cafés is set to open its doors this spring. The Sanctuary Café at St John’s the Evangelist, Kensal Green, will officially launch on 3rd March 2026, offering a warm, welcoming space for people living with dementia and their carers.
Located at 2 Kilburn Lane, W10 4AA, the café will run every Tuesday from 2–4pm, providing a safe community hub where visitors can enjoy companionship, conversation, creative activities, information, advice and guidance and—of course—plenty of tea.
This new initiative is part of the expanding CAD‑Brent De‑Café Network, a charitable effort dedicated to building a dementia‑friendly borough through compassion, collaboration and community action. The Sanctuary Café represents another meaningful step in ensuring that every person affected by dementia in Brent has access to connection, support and joy.
Local dementia cafés have already proven to be lifelines for many, reducing isolation, improving wellbeing, and creating spaces where people feel understood and included. The introduction of The Sanctuary Café is being celebrated as an excellent and much‑needed addition, strengthening the network of support across the borough.
With its launch just weeks away, The Sanctuary Café is already being hailed as a truly positive development for the dementia community—an inspiring example of what local charities and volunteers can achieve together.
