Reducing stigma of dementia in Brent
The Dementia Care Kilburn (DCK) Partnerships in Innovative Education (PIE) Initiative was established to foster an integrated approach to education and training for professionals and the public. Its mission was to reduce the stigma of dementia in local communities particularly amongst black, Asian & minority ethnic (BAME) and faith groups, removing common misconceptions of the disease, raising awareness and understanding, and promoting early diagnosis.
