This week the CAD team have been out in the community raising awareness about dementia. At the network of 18 memory cafes we have played dementia bingo, Boccia (a paralympic sport that can be played by everyone) and we have facilitated a dementia awareness quiz which help us to get our community talking about dementia. On Wednesday we collaborated with Harrow Carers and the Dementia Matron at Northwick Park Hospital to provide an information event for patients and staff. On Thursday afternoon the Song Of Joy dementia choir sang their hearts out during a lovely concert followed by afternoon tea. It was such a great turn our with more than 50 people in the audience.
It’s been a busy but fun week, and we hope you have enjoyed it!
The CAD team are passionate about breaking down the barriers associated with getting a diagnosis and the stigma associated with receiving one.
