A good Sign: Dementia Peer interior designers at GP surgeries in Brent:
This week a Brent GP Surgery reported its satisfaction at a recent access audit carried out by some of our dementia peers. Dianne and Hazel recommended a number of changes including new signage around the building and using colours and shapes helpful to people with perceptual or memory problems, sensor lights and also changing their voicemail message which was too long, too many options to a more sensible and easier to understand.
Our Peers suggested the same type of signage that they recommended for Ashford Place recently which has now been installed throughout the building, It is generating lots of positive comments from a range of people such as staff, volunteers, visitors, and clients.
